Monogram Club Musings – Florida State Weekend

Nov 12, 2018, 2:15 PM EST

Lee Becton ('95, football) addressed his fellow Monogram Club members at the Club's pre-game reception. Becton was one of several members of the 1993 team that returned to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the "Game of the Century".

Mother Nature paid tribute to the 25th anniversary of Notre Dame football’s 1993 win over Florida State in the “Game of the Century” by having temperatures hover around 25 degrees at kickoff of Saturday’s showdown with the Seminoles.

The 2018 edition of the Fighting Irish produced their own tribute by improving to 10-0 thanks to a win over Florida State, just like their predecessors did a quarter century ago. The Irish donned green jerseys, dusted off the snow and sent the seniors off in style with a 42-13 victory.

Thanks to all the Monogram Club members who returned to campus over the weekend, and throughout season. Here’s a look back at the Florida State festivities, how Fighting Irish teams faired both on campus and around the country and some Monogram Club members making headlines…
