As part of the Monogram Club’s ongoing 100th anniversary celebration, some of the Club’s many connections to each Notre Dame program have been highlighted. This latest installment of the “Monogram Club Turns 100” series looks at the many strong ties between the Monogram Club and the Fighting Irish softball program.

Softball’s Monogram Moments

Barbara Mooney

Barbara Mooney (‘89) was on Notre Dame’s first varsity softball team in 1989. Mooney later became the first softball alum to serve on the Monogram Club Board of Directors. She was on the board from 2005-08.

Two softball Monogram winners currently serve on the Monogram Club Board of Directors. Former All-American Jen (Sharron) Richardson (‘01) was a Club director from 2012-15 and now is an advisor, while Linda Kohan (‘09) joined the board last fall.
