Monogram Club Musings – Shamrock Series

Nov 23, 2015, 2:14 PM EDT

It felt like the entire University of Notre Dame campus was uprooted and placed in Boston over the weekend and the Monogram Club was happy to be part of the Shamrock Series experience!

The Club hosted a pair of well-attended events, the Monogram Career Network(ing) Happy Hour on Friday at Lir Pub and Saturday’s pre-game reception at the House of Blues. It was tremendous to see so many Club members at both functions.

Monogram Club members and staff also were heavily involved with the Alumni Association’s service project, which packed 37,000 pounds of Thanksgiving food for 1,500 Boston area families in need.

Here is a look back at the festivities in and around Fenway Park!

While he didn’t stick around Notre Dame long enough to earn a Monogram, it was nice to see the statue of Red Sox great Carl Yastrzemski outside of Fenway Park.

It was nice to see the video commemorating the Monogram Club’s 100th anniversary on the Fenway Park video board!

If you didn’t make it to Boston, you can get a taste of the Shamrock Series and its history with our new display in Heritage Hall!

We’ll leave you with this…
While much of the attention over the weekend centered on Boston, a very special Notre Dame moment took place in Louisville as senior Molly Seidel won the NCAA cross country title. It’s her second national championship after taking home the 10,000-meter crown during the outdoor track & field season last spring.

Congrats, Molly!!
