As we prepare to turn the calendar to 2015, it is once again time to look back on another great year for Notre Dame and the Monogram Club. Over the next several days, we’ll continue to recap the significant Monogram initiatives, events and accomplishments from 2014. September took the Club to the Shamrock Series in Indianapolis…
Beginning in 2009 with the Alamodome in San Antonio, the Fighting Irish have hosted one game away from Notre Dame Stadium each season. For these home-away-from-home matchups (branded as the “Shamrock Series” in 2011), the University brings the spirit of a weekend on campus to cities around the country.
Following stops in San Antonio, New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Fort Worth, 2014 brought the Shamrock Series just a few hours south to Indianapolis.
Once again, the Monogram Club played an active role in the weekend, hosting a pre-game reception at Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery.
For the first time, members of the Monogram Club staff also had the opportunity to participate in the Alumni Association’s Shamrock Series service project. Taking place at Providence Cristo Rey High School, the afternoon included everything from painting parking spaces to removing an old fence and laying down mulch for a new playground.
As we look ahead to 2015, the Club will continue to seek opportunities to expand our service outreach, both with the Alumni Association and Student Welfare & Development office. Stay tuned!
