The Fighting Irish faithful braved the rain and cold on Saturday at Notre Dame Stadium, as #9 Notre Dame met #14 Stanford in another hard-fought October matchup. Much like the memorable game in 2012, the 2014 version of the annual rivalry came down to the wire.
On 4th-and-11 with just over a minute remaining, quarterback Everett Golson found tight end Ben Koyack in the back of the end zone for the go-ahead score. The Irish defense held strong on Stanford’s final possession, sacking Kevin Hogan and forcing an intentional grounding penalty that helped push Notre Dame’s record to 5-0 this season.
Here’s a look back at an unforgettable afternoon, through the eyes of Notre Dame Monogram winners on campus and across the globe.
