Believe it or not, 2014 is approaching faster than the snow is falling in South Bend. The turning of the calendar is just a few days away, and in celebration of a terrific 2013, we are looking back at a year’s worth of Monogram Club events, accomplishments and great Notre Dame camaraderie. After February’s return to campus, “12 Months of Monogram” heads east for some March Madness…
This spring, the Notre Dame men’s basketball team traveled to Dayton, Ohio for an NCAA tournament second round matchup with Iowa State. Manager of Monogram/Football Alumni Relations Reggie Brooks (’93) and membership coordinator Mike Sullivan (’09) made the drive from South Bend, where the Notre Dame Alumni Association and Notre Dame Club of Dayton hosted a reception at the Dublin Pub, prior to the Irish’s game against Iowa State.
Among those in attendance were hockey Monogram winner Jamie Ling (’96), football alums Kevin McDonnell (’99) and Kevin Griffith (’82) and former student managers Joe Krug (’83) and Pat McDowell (’10). Jamie and his wife, Beth (’97), are co-presidents of the Dayton club and helped organize the event.
