Wednesday, June 5 marked the first full day of the 2013 edition of Notre Dame Football Fantasy Camp. Following Tuesday’s opening dinner in Club Naimoli, the fantasy camp squad strapped the pads on and took the field at the LaBar Practice Complex this morning, along with several current and former Notre Dame football players serving as guest coaches.
Among the Monogram winners at practice today were George Goeddeke (’67) (who led the group in singing the Notre Dame Victory March and Notre Dame, Our Mother last night), Jim Molinaro (’03), Jeremy Akers (’96), Ned Bolcar (’89), Steve Belles (’89), Glenn Earl (’03) and Grant Irons (’01).
During warm-ups, Irons, a two-time Irish captain and former president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Council, and graduate student offensive guard Chris Watt (’13) demonstrated how they would block one another. Watch below as Irons and Watt, along with Manager of Monogram/Football Alumni Relations Reggie Brooks (’93) had a bit of fun before practice got started.
